BIG thanks to Sya's Blueprints for making the beautiful digital scrapbooking kit that was used in the making of this blog banner. You can find this kit entitled "Nature" at Sunshine Studio Scraps in their forum for free. Yes, I said, "free." The only catch is you have to be a member to look at the items in the forum. Totally worth it. And they have amazing items for sale as well. I'm addicted. Won't you join me?
This is the first card I've ever made consisting mostly of stickers. Stickers scare me because once they are down, they're down and I change my mind all the time. This card turned out okay for my first try, I think.
Here are the cards I made for my dad [tackle box] and father-in-law [monkeying around]. Not my best efforts but not too shabby since most of my stuff is packed away ready to be moved across the country! I got the sock monkey alphabet at LetteringDelights.com and you will find the interior font, Knuckle Type, at ScrapNFonts.com Two of my most favorite sites on the net! :)
I made this accordion style card for my hubby for Valentine's Day this year. Behind each of the 10 interior hearts are 10 reasons why I love my husband. (For those of you who don't want to do the math, that's a total of 100 reasons.) :) It wasn't difficult to do and he *loved* it so it was totally worth it.
Yes, these last two are different. I played with the letters being off center and centered on the blue circle background. I eventually went with the centered look.
I am a sign language interpreter who grew up in St. Louis, MO, but in December 2008, moved to Durham, NC, to be with my husband who is attending Duke University. I have been interpreting since 1997 and have met some awesome people through my profession. I love interpreting and I love my "kids!" I also have a passion for making greeting cards and through that I also have found a love for scrapbooking--especially digital. I am attempting to make some of my own files to use in my work and to share with others which has been fun. Feel free to check out my work and leave a comment. I welcome suggestions and ideas. *smile*
